Came to CT for a visit with family. The day we were heading home my mother in law said let's go to the shack for breakfast. she said she goes often and its very good. She wasn't lying. you can taste the love put into the food here. Breakfast was so good. cornbread was the best cornbread I've ever had. Portions are huge. And Food came out pretty quickly. I will most definitely be back to the shack next time we visit my mother in law.
A southern man with high expectations for breakfast. I ordered the shanty . The portions was unbelievable. The pancakes were a dream come true. The eggs and homefries were flavorfully unmatched. The Shanty is a meal for two. The staff is friendly and responsive to ensure a great experience.
Breakfast was good, quite large, too. I had the Denver omelet with home fries. My son had the kitchen sink & enjoyed it. We were so full, we didn't eat lunch that day. I liked the decor of antiques.

I recently came to the shack for breakfast around 8:30am. There was zero wait time for a table. The server took our order pretty fast after being seated. The food came out in a timely manner. I would describe the breakfast items as classic comfort food. If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot- I would recommend trying the shack.
